Attention Knitters and Crocheters: Craft Hope’s Red Scarf Project

January 8, 2010

Craft Hope Spreading seeds of hope one stitch at a time Craft Hope needs your help!

If you know how to knit or crochet, please consider participating in Craft Hope’s call for red scarves for Orphan Foundation of America. The deadline is Valentine’s Day. You can visit for all the details. There’s even a free pattern up called the Star Stitch Scarf. I haven’t knitted anything in a long time, but now is the time to use the rest of the fuzzy dark red yard I used to hang up my holiday cards in my Festive Clothespin Tutorial. I certainly have never used a pattern, so I am thrilled to get to teach myself a new skill!

If you don’t know how to knit or crochet, why not learn? Join your local fibers group, search the interwebs, ask a relative, friend, or neighbor, etc.  Here are some links to sites and videos that will help get you started:

If you use a favorite knitting or crocheting tutorial, by all means, post it! Also, consider teaching someone how to knit or crochet, especially children. Wouldn’t it be great to show them the spirit of crafting for a good cause?

Be sure to put your project in a place where your puppy can’t get it…
